The 6th house (Ari or Roga Bhava) governs enemies, disease, debts, litigation, competition and daily service or employment.
It is one of the three Dusthana (difficult) houses, but also an Upachaya house — struggle that strengthens. Strong benefic influence here shows the capacity to defeat rivals, recover from illness and clear debts.
Mars and Saturn are its natural karakas (enemies and disease respectively). Modern readers also take the 6th for service professions, healthcare work and disciplined routine.
