The 12th house (Vyaya Bhava) governs expenditure, losses, endings, sleep, isolation, foreign lands and moksha — spiritual liberation.
It is the house of dissolution: what leaves you, from money spent to attachments released. Saturn and Ketu act as its karakas — Saturn for loss and seclusion, Ketu for liberation.
Not all 12th-house results are negative: it is also the house of foreign settlement, retreats, research institutions and deep spiritual practice. Benefics here often show generous spending and a contemplative bent rather than ruin.
