Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Birth details you enter. To calculate a kundali, matchmaking report or other reading, you provide a name, date, time and place of birth. These are used to compute your chart. They are kept in your browser’s session storage on your own device and are sent to our servers only to generate the report — we do not store your birth details on our servers after the calculation is returned.
• Google account information. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store your name, email address and a Google account identifier to create your account and to apply your usage allowance. We never receive or store your Google password. We request only basic profile information (name, email) — no access to Gmail, Drive or other Google services.
• Usage data. We keep short-lived counters, identified by a hashed (not reversible) form of your IP address or account, to enforce free-usage limits and prevent abuse. These counters expire automatically after a short period.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage of the Service. It may set cookies on your device.

How we use your information

• To provide the astrology calculations and reports you request.
• To operate your account and apply fair-usage limits.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the Service.
• To understand and improve how the Service is used.

Google user data

When you sign in with Google, the Service accesses a limited set of Google user data through Google’s OAuth flow: your name, email address, and basic profile information (the openid, email and profile scopes). We do not request or receive access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.

• How we use it: solely to create and identify your account and to apply your personal usage allowance. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
• How we store it: your name, email and Google account identifier are stored securely in our database, retained until you request deletion.
• How we share it: we do not sell or transfer Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

RishiAstro’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can review or revoke RishiAstro’s access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We rely on Google for sign-in and analytics, which process data under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Birth details are not retained on our servers. Account information (your name and email) is kept until you delete your account — which you can do yourself at any time from the account menu — or ask us to delete it. If you do not sign in for two years, we delete your account and its data automatically. Usage counters expire automatically.

When you delete your account, it is scheduled for permanent deletion and your data is erased within 30 days; signing in again before then cancels the deletion. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short period after that. We may retain a limited amount of information for longer only where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, and we may disclose information to authorities where required by law.

Log files and security

Like most online services, our systems automatically record standard log information — such as a request’s IP address, time, and the page requested — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. Where we use this data to enforce usage limits, the IP address is stored only in a hashed, non-reversible form.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the account information we hold about you by emailing support@synaptxcloud.com. You can also sign out at any time, and you may revoke RishiAstro’s access from your Google Account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under data-protection laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU/UK GDPR, or the California CCPA — including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. We honour these requests for the account data we hold; write to us at the address above to exercise them.

Cookies

We use a secure, http-only session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
